Today´s class was really funny and enjoyable. We had an informal chat in the library over a cup of hot coffee and my students felt so relaxed that they did talk a lot about their favourite books. 

Here are some of their recommendations: Game of Thrones, Ensayo sobre la Ceguera, Crónica de una Muerte anunciada.... Unfortunately, I don't remember all of them!!!

However, some students did not remember the title of their favourite book (Borja!! You owe us a name!!) and some others did not have time to talk about theirs. That's why the comments section below is open for them to leave their suggestions and write some lines about the book of the year!! I will be correcting all your contributions to the blog, so don't waste this wonderful opportunity to practise!

NACHO AND SERGIO TALKING ABOUT TOKYO

We have already started doing presentations in class. This week was time for Nacho and Sergio, who talked about Tokyo. Watch the video and give us your opinion about it on the comments section below by answering the following questions:

NEGATIVE PREFIXES WITH PERSONALITY ADJECTIVES

We can form the opposite of many adjectives or give them a negative meaning by adding a negative prefix. Unfortunately, there is no fixed rule for adding one prefix or another, which has made it really difficult for my intensive course students to learn them. But there is always a fun way to study... and we tried hard in class. Here is the result of our Snap Game: a wonderful list of negative personality adjectives to study over the weekend!

PLAYING DOMINOES IN CLASS

in one of our classes last week my students played a transportation dominoes and learnt some new vocabulary related to means of transport in English. My students and I spent our first class today trying to get to know each other a little bit!! They learned a few things about me, my life, my family.... "Me in 12 words":

WELCOME TO SCHOOL YEAR 16-17

Hi everyone!

I would like to welcome everyone of my Intermediate English students to a new school year. I promise this will be a year of reaching goals, working hard and taking you to a new level of English.

FOOD DOMINOES

As we are revising food vocabulary in class, I thought it would be a great idea to practise it with a game: a "super" food dominoes!!. Each student in class had a card to put into the right place on the table. You can see the result on the pictures. We needed 3 tables to do it!! But it was worth the effort!!
